This article garnered the most comments of any piece I’ve written in the last year. Most of it was praise. Users of petroleum jelly were thanking me for explaining in depth why they aren’t crazy to smear a crude oil product on their face and bodies.
I got a good many calls from older women and men, too, who claimed that they have always used petroleum jelly and they immodestly asserted that they are frequently told that they look great for their age. I use it nightly on my lips but I do not put it on my face and rarely I use it as a mask for my feet or hands.
