This will be the city’s 250th birthday celebration but 2013 was a year worth celebrating, savoring and occasionally bemoaning. We saw the rise of a new international model with local roots, the closure of an iconic 90-year-old store front, an unexpected St. Louis fashion who’s who parade on reality television and a really unexpected clash of fashion weeks (that’s right St. Louis has two fashion weeks).
Hands down, this has been the most interesting fashion year since the city’s historic Garment District heyday.
